When you are committed to stopping smoking, hypnotherapy is an excellent tool to enable you to take control of your unwanted habit and replace it with healthier alternatives.
Smokers are constantly bombarded with reasons to give up smoking such as – it damages your health, your finances and the quality of your life and those around you. Government messages continually reinforce these during advertising campaigns. So you decide for the umpteenth time to stop smoking – but this time you really mean it – this time you will STOP. You tell yourself that life will be wonderful when you stop, you imagine all the positive aspects to be gained from stopping – but giving up smoking by simply using willpower or nicotine substitutes has no immediate reward or incentive.
In fact you have just given up the one thing that actually helps you to feel less stressed, more able to cope with life and that you really, really enjoy. No wonder it is so difficult for you to become a non-smoker!
So how can hypnotherapy help YOU to become a non-smoker?
While you are in a relaxed hypnotic state, I will make appropriate and carefully worded positive suggestions, agreed with you in advance, direct to your subconscious mind.
These suggestions will enable you to ‘see’ yourself as a non-smoker – to become a non-smoker and to remain a non-smoker. They will also take into account your particular triggers with regard to where, why, how and when you feel the need to smoke.
Anger, tension, irritability, stress are some of the symptoms suffered by people when they try to stop smoking with willpower alone, or patches or gum. With hypnosis/hypnotherapy you will replace these negative feelings with intense feelings of pride and satisfaction.
Positive hypnotic suggestions could be placed deep in your unconscious mind so that you really do feel calmer, more confident and more relaxed.
How wonderful would it be if you could feel calm, confident and relaxed in all of the situations where you previously had the desire for a smoke? Wouldn’t that make it easier to be a NON-SMOKER? I offer a one-off session for smoking cessation which, as a single session, has been proven to be the best way forward. The session usually lasts 90 minutes – working together one-to-one in order to gather information relevant to each specific client.
The first part or the hypnotherapy session usually lasts about an hour and it will:
- Allow time for you to explore your personal reasons for smoking
(it is different for everyone.)
- To confirm your reasons for wanting to stop now.
- To discuss with me any other individual needs you would like from this therapy. I can then incorporate additional suggestions, during the hypnosis part of the session, to enable you to focus on a specific goal, or to help you enjoy a healthier lifestyle etc.
The second part of the hypnotherapy session lasts approximately half an hour and during this time:
I will guide you into a very pleasant and relaxing state of hypnosis (during which you will remain in control and will be fully aware of what is happening) using hypnotherapy techniques specifically tailored to your needs.
Whilst you are in this relaxed state, you will hear me repeat positive suggestions that will enable you to become and remain a non-smoker for the rest of your life. I will also incorporate any previously agreed suggestions relevant to other areas in your life, which were discussed in the initial part of the session.
After the ONE session you will feel that you have gained an immediate reward:
As you will experience a tremendous boost to your determination and confidence and will experience feelings of enormous pride and satisfaction at now being a non-smoker.
At the end of the session you will feel focussed, positive, relaxed and refreshed – ready to get on with your new life as a healthy non-smoker!
